A-TEC
The A-Tec’s moderators are designed to meet and exceed the requirements of Game Management Professionals, Military and Police Snipers as well as Stalkers, Varminters and Target Shooters.
Designed and manufactured in Norway by Anders Johannsen, owner of the A-TEC company. The standard version moderator is suitable for all centre fire rifle calibers up to and including 9.3x62. There is also a magnum version available on special order. For rimfire we also have an excellent A-TEC.

Description:
The A-TEC moderators are produced from high quality, high tensile - aircraft grade aluminium and stainless steel. Weighing in at only 500g (1.1 lbs), stripable for maintenance and cleaning. The design is of the telescopic type. That is: the moderator includes an expansion chamber that extends back over barrel as well as in front of the muzzle. The moderator contains 5 1/2 baffles, of which the first is stainless steel, and a distance ring. These baffles suppress the sound signature as well as the muzzle flash. Only extending the length of your rifle by 15cm ( 5.9"), these moderators offer a good balance of ergonomics, performance, ease of use and maintenance as well as cost effectiveness. The rear or the moderator shroud is closed by a Delrin bush to prevent the ingress of foreign matter. This bush is machined to fit over your barrel giving a slight clearance or .25mm. The bush is held in situ by a C clip.
Performance:
The Standard version suppresses sound emission by 26-30 dB depending on caliber and ammunition type. Absolute ellimination of muzzle flash and a significant reduction in felt recoil are also achieved. The sound signature of an A-Tec moderated rifle can be alikend to somewhere between an unsuppressed .22lr and a lightly loaded .22 Hornet. Depending on caliber and load type of the ammunition used.
Official tests, conducted with Caliber .308Win ( which is pretty much the standard) showed the A-TEC moderators lowered the noise exposure to the shooter to within the recomended Personal Exposure Limit set by the European Directive 2003 /10/EC.
The addition of a moderator to your rifle will in no way cause any detrimental effects to rifle performance, infact throughout our tests we noticed and increase in accuracy when moderators where fitted. Typicaly Mean Point of Impact ( commonly refered to as zero) shift between moderator fitted and not fitted is very little, obviously very light profile barrels tend to shift zero more when the weight of a moderator is added to the end of a barrel. Heaver profiles displayed less to no shift.
Threading / Fitting:
A-TEC moderators come supplied with fitting instructions.Standard thread sizes as follows:
M14x1.5 / M15x1 / M15x1.5 / M16x1.5 / M17x1 / M18x1.5.
We can anly recomend the use of 1/2 x20TPI (UNF) threads on .22LR and .22 Centrefire rifles.
Infact anything above .223 Rem should idealy be threaded at least M14.
If your rifle is already threaded, there is no need for you to have it re threaded, we can machine the stainless steel threaded bush to corespond to your existing thread at no extra charge.
Warning
Never use Sabot type bullets or shot shells in a moderated rifle as this will result in damage and possible injury.

Description:
The A-TEC Rimfire & Air Rifle suppressors are produced from the same quality, high tensile - aircraft grade aluminium as the Full Bore moderators. Weighing in at only 157g (5.53 Ounces) stripable for maintenance and cleaning.
The design conforms to the muzzle mounted type.
That is: the moderator is attached by a thread at the muzzle and extends all infront of the muzzle. 2 expansion chambers and 14 baffles are contained within the moderator. These baffles suppress the sound signature as well as the muzzle flash.
Only extending the length of your rifle by 17.6cm, these moderators offer a perfect balance of ergonomics, performance, ease of use and maintenance as well as cost effectiveness for any Rimfire, Air Rifle or Centrefire upto .22 Hornet.
